I have had fitted genuine ford reconditioned driveshafts and this has resolved the issue. Many thanks to you all. The rear passenger side footwell is somewhat wet and now smelly. I can't identify where its coming from though, it seems to be predominant after driving in the wet (not consciously noticed it when its rained hard and the car has been idle) as the carpet looks like its been rained on.
