VW Golf TDI starting problem. Hi there, for the past few years I have been having a reoccurring problem where my car won't start up. Its a 2004 Golf (97-06) hatchback 1.9 TDI (ATD) . So far I have changed the crankshaft sensor, the battery and god know what. But every year, or so it seems, the same problem comes back. New Sachs PD150 Dual Mass Flywheel, Clutch Kit and Releaser - £300 extra. Budget Single Mass Flywheel, Clutch Kit and Releaser - £325 extra. Darkside HD SMF, Clutch Kit and Releaser - £750 extra. 6 speed Clutch fluid line - £100 Extra - This is not required but will save bending your stock hose to work on the 6 speed. 1000q: mk4 intake manifold/EGR removal and cleaning (1998-2005 TDI) 1000q: mk5 pumpe duse intake manifold/EGR removal and cleaning (2005.5-2006 TDI) 1000q: mk4 B5 Passat intake manifold cleaning (2004-2005 TDI) Another problem for the mk3 and mk4 TDI is leaking oil out of the EGR weep hole. The EGR has a diaphragm inside that moves on a shaft. This is going to be a little long, but bare with me! Just trying to be detailed, as I have tried various things to find and resolve the problem.
